So - I have given into peer pressure (thanks Posse) and started a little book blog.
I'm starting with a lofty goal. Last year I completed 80 books so next year I'm stretching to 100. That's right - 100 books in one year. Two a week average. Luckily I have a "to read" list about a mile long so having material to complete the goal isn't an issue. It's having time to do it ;)
The rules: Both Audio, ebooks and paper books count but anything below the Young Adult level does not. (otherwise this blog would be full of Flat Stanley, Stink and Wimpy Kid) You can also follow my progress on www.goodreads.com I love that site it has brought me closer to so many people that I had lost touch with over the years.
So...the trek to 100 begins.
First on my list for 2013 is "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn for fiction
I read two of her novels, Gone Girl and Dark Places last year and loved them both so I am excited to read her first offering.
My First non-fiction is "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me" by Mindy Kaling.
I haven't watched her new show but I have heard great things about the book and I have a feeling that her "voice" will be easy to read.
The first Audiobook of the new year is "The Black Box" by Michael Connelly.
I am in love with Connelly books. His continuity over both the Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller series is amazing so I'm excited to see what his newest book has to offer.
Here's to another great year of reading!
